Once both sets of parents have been consulted, draw up a guest list. The photographer and videographer should be booked. Discuss timings and prefered or specific images and discuss with the minister if footage in the ceremony is permitted.
Chief bridesmaid, best man and other witnesses should be selected along with wedding insurance, a marriage licence and the chosen colour scheme. All accessories and outfits, wedding cake, florists, transport and toastmaster should be booked from 12 months. The honeymoon can also be arranged and marquees/rental equiptment be reserved.
A stationary company should be selected in advance, as should any entertainment such as musicians, DJ and performances. Decorations, balloons, fireworks/laser shows can also be booked up to 9 months from the date and any dental/laser eye appointments should be organised.
Wedding gift list, invitations and first nights accomodation can also be arranged and meetings with caterers to discuss menu recommendations should be organised between 2 to 4 months. All church arrangements. rehearsal times and vows should be rehearsed and arranged. Special lingerie, shoes and going away outfit can be purchased and appointments should be made with beauticians/nail technicians/tanning salons. Organise a trusted dry cleaning salon to preserve the gown after the day and begin to create the speeches, which will need time and organisation.
From 4 weeks, have a trial run of dress, hair and make up and final fittings for all attendents. Hold the hen/stag night and create a final checklist. Confirm the last arrangements with all of the services and pick up the wedding gown 1 week before the day. Refer to the final countdown list page in the last stages of the wedding.
